Happy St Patty’s Day

A dog owns nothing, yet is seldom dissatisfied. ~ Irish Proverb
True and wise! This Irish proverb does not take into account the fact that Gus has his own closet. What can we say, he gets cold and he likes coats..and sweaters and rain gear and neckties. I know, I know we are those dog people.

How to Hug a Baby

You know, these emails get passed around, but this one is pretty cute.  We did not take the photos.  We just giggled and wanted to pass the little joy on to you.

The Proper ‘Hugging’ of a Baby instructions for properly hugging a baby:

1. First, uh, find a baby.

2. Second, be sure that the object you found was indeed a baby by employing classic sniffing techniques.

3. Next you will need to flatten the baby before actually beginning the hugging process.

4. The ‘paw slide’  Simply slide paws around baby and prepare for possible close-up.

5. Finally, if a camera is present, you will need to execute The difficult and patented ‘hug, smile, and lean’ so as to  achieve the

best photo quality.

Quotable Quotes

Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Inside of a dog, it’s too dark to read. ~ Groucho Marx

Walkin in a Doggie Wonderland

Dog tags ring, are you listenin’?
In the lane, snow is glistenin’.
It’s yellow, NOT white I’ve been there tonight,
Marking up my winter wonderland.

Smell that tree? That’s my fragrance.
It’s a sign for wandering vagrants;
“Avoid where I pee, it’s MY pro-per-ty!
Marked up as my winter wonderland.”

In the meadow dad will build a snowman,
following the classical design.
Then I’ll lift my leg and let it go Man,
So all the world will know that it’s mine-mine-mine!

Straight from me to the fence post,
flows my natural incense boast;
“Stay off my TURF, this small piece of earth,
I marked it as my winter wonderland.”

Now that you have this yuletide jingle stuck in your head it can serve as a gentle reminder that the holidays are are just around the corner. This means that booking time for your holiday portraits is……now.

We are so sad every year when we must turn away folks because, as the season approaches, we simply run out of room on our calendar. Book now and avoid the last minute rush.

And remember….OMD Gift Certificates make a wonderful gift.

Words of Wisdom

“The dog is a yes-animal. Very popular with people who can’t afford a yes man.”

- Robertson Davies, Canadian author

Well, I am not totally sure I agree. Gus is no yes dog. For Gus at least, NO MEANS NO.
